Every space holds an energy before anything touches it. A commission begins by listening to yours — the room, the wall, the feeling you want to live with — and answering it with color.

I take a small number of commissions each season: original canvas paintings made for your space, and large-scale murals painted on site.

HOW A COMMISSION WORKS

​

1. We talk. You tell me about the space and the feeling you're hoping for — by DM (@dain_art), email, or the inquiry form.

2. I listen, then sketch. You'll see a concept and a palette before anything is final.

3. We refine together. One round of adjustments is always included.

4. I paint. You'll get quiet progress notes from the studio (or watch the wall change day by day, if it's a mural).

5. It comes home. Canvas work ships carefully anywhere in the US; murals are finished, sealed, and yours.

My waitlist is usually 4–8 weeks out. Murals are scheduled around your space — most walls take 3–5 days on site.

Songbird, North Carolina — a three-day mural that moved the NC landscape indoors: songbirds, native blooms, and the quiet of the field at golden hour.

Made-for-You Habitat — small custom paintings built around a collector's own story: a childhood bird, a grandmother's garden, a place that feels like home.

A poolside sanctuary mural for a wellness teacher is currently in planning — tropical, restorative, made for breath and stillness.
